I purchased my 08 xB in Oct. 07. When I arrived on the lot to test drive, I didn't see any Scions (all in the parking structure), so I went in and spoke to Eddy Goldman, a great Scion sales consultant who has been with Putnam for more than 6 years. I told Eddy that I was there only to test drive and see the xB. I let him know that I'm a former sales consultant myself, and wouldn't waste his time with a test drive on a Saturday (busiest day for sales at a dealership) if I wasn't seriously considering the xB. Due to the Scion pure pricing, I promised him that if I decided to buy an xB, I would come back and purchase it from him because he was not pushy and listened to me. Sales consultants hear that line everyday, so I'm not sure if he believed me. Two days later I called him to ask if he was working that evening because I wanted to come in to do the deal 2 hours later. He was there, I arrived 2 hours later, and in 1-1/2 hours I was driving home. Great experience, thanks to Eddy.

I walked in to the dealership expecting to meet pushy and rude salesmen. I was thinking of purchasing a Corolla S for my son. As soon as I arrived at the dealership, salesman, Darren Yu, approached me. He was very nice, polite, and courteous. When I told him what we needed, he took us to their inventory lot. After taking the elevator and walking down to the right floor (4 story garage full of Toyotas and Scions), my son saw a tC and he fell in love with the car. When he saw the tC, he totally forgot about the Corolla S that we came in for. He drove both Corolla and tC, and felt better with tC. Darren explained the Scion purchase process which we felt comfortable with. We don’t have to worry about negotiation, and we got a great deal with the car it self. After all, comparable Corolla that we drove was over $ 19k. Darren was very knowledgeable about the Scion and he was the best salesman that I have dealt with in a long long time (over 20 years of car buying).
