| ive been wanting a turbo for my xd but obviously there arnt any kits yet and there may never be but ive already started looking for all the parts and tools needed to put a turbo on myself. the only thing i cant find and have no idea how to make is an exaust manifold for the motor. i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to find some one to make one or to make it myself i do have a full machine shop but we cant do castings and i dont trust the one down the road from me either. so can anyone help? |

| There is a kit coming out, forget by who, but it will probably be out near the end of the year. You have to remember that this is a NEW car and being new, things have to be R&D' before hitting the market. |

i wouldn't do that either, everyone will say they're the best :P I'd would look at different forums that have a regional section and try there ( I would probably try a Honda forum if anything since a lot of turbo manis are fabricated for most of their engines and they're more in demand ). I mainly say this because the population of xD owners is still pretty low and would be hard to find someone with that type of knowledge within the nearby area  Good luck! |

If you are not looking for a fancy EL manifold, any shop could make it. There is not that much science behind a LOG style manifold. Any way, you don't have to much space behind the motor, so a compact log style manifold.
Take a look at the TURBO TOYOTAS manifold for the xb/xa/Yaris. It's pretty simple and it works ok. You can get the bends, tees and turbo flanges from Verocious and the only part you would have to do is the manifold flange. Then is all cutting and welding. |
