Has anyone else considered adapting a $2000 Tc TRD SC kit to the XB2? I expect the XB2 SC kit to cost over $3000 at release. Assuming that the Tc SC bolts up okay and the ECU mapping isn't way off, modding a custom air intake/filtration system for the SC shouldn't be much trouble to save $1000.

Any thoughts on this idea?

Id rather spend the extra skrillah and have it completely covered by the dealership. Just my 2 cents.

Good point. $1000 more for the kit and another $500+ for the dealer install is a lot but keeping the factory warranty is a huge plus. Sadly I may have to go without if it's gonna cost me $3500+. Oh well... gotta pay to play I guess.

We all know that the kit now cost around $3.6K which in my opinion way over-priced for 40 hp. I am studying the installation manual between the tC and xB and see what's the difference between the two. ScionFred got a point that if we can use the tC's kit on the xB, we could have save $1600 and use it on other stuffs.
So far, the only differences that I see from the kit are:
1) Intake plumbing hardware
2) Oil return line
3) Battery relocation hardware
4) Engine software (may be)

I really want the supercharger since it is emission legal and I don't mind to do extra work to make it fit.

^^^
Don't forget to take into account there's a huge engine mount in the way of the pulley from the tC to the xB
