|
|
| I have a really nice stereo that I have put in my GSX. I have recently considered selling my car and I have contimplated moving the stereo to my xD. The deck is one of Pioneer's highest end, I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to hook the stock steering wheel stereo controls to other Pioneer HU's? |

| What is that special piece? I'm just debating if it is worth it to use a LOC to hook up my amp and keep the stock deck (for the controls, ipod/aux connectors) or to swap everything to my much much better deck :). |

Easiest way to get it would be to go to a local car audio shop. Just tell them you want a steering wheel control pac for your particular car and radio. They should carry it or get it fast.
I'm using one on my Pioneer unit now. |

| I'm asking about the STOCK steering wheel controls. I know I can use aftermarket ones with my HU, it came with them ;). I was just curious if anyone knew if the control on the Scion/Pioneer HU used the same plug as aftermarket Pioneer's use. |

He did answer your question. You would need an adapter to get the Aftermarket Pioneer to work with your stock steering wheel controls.

I misunderstood and thought he was telling me to buy a different steering wheel control.
Thanks for the info, has anyone used that unit to confirm it works with the scion steering controls? |

you'll get a small lag between button presses and response time for the signal to trigger..
but the pac-swi works fine otherwise. |
