I took everyone's advice and picked up some inexpensive floor mats from Target for my xd. Problem is that the driver's floor mat doesn't stay put...and why should it? There is no post on the xd floor to stick it on or any post on the mat to put in the hole in the floor that looks like it's made for an OEM mat.

My question is this: Is there a way to secure an after market floor mat on the driver's side? It's slipping and I'm afraid it's going to get in the way of the pedals.

Thanks for your input!

Hook side of velcro strips. Glue or double-side tape strips to underside of mat. Velcro hooks bite into factory carpet and reduce slippage.

I got a set of 3m scotchguard mats from my local advanced autoparts, and they slid up for about two weeks, then they formed to the floor and don't move at all. But there's some very aggressive knobs on the back that grab the floor as well.

Will that wear the carpet underneath from constantly being grabbed by the velcro? If it won't mess up the carpet that sounds like a great idea!

My mat is a bit long so it either slides all the way up and behind the pedals (this interferes with them) or I pull it down and leave about 2 inches pulled up and under the seat to free up the pedals. But it doesn't stay.

My mats are carpeted ones from Target and they aren't as wide as the area on the driver's side so they don't reach the knobs on the sides of the bottom of the driver's seat. I don't think they'll settle in...they're not super grippy on the bottom.

Thanks for the responses!

Toss em in the trash and buy OEM on ebay, or go to advanced and get the 3m mats what are a set of 4. They work pretty good and are clean looking. Although, I want OEM now...

Do they sell the mats individually? I don't need the whole OEM set, I'd probably just get the driver's side mat and maybe the cargo mat. I've only seen them sold as a set though.

Didn't have carpet wear probs in the past. To be honest I made my own for the xD - outdoor carpet bought from Lowes. But - sheesh - looking at you and your new RS gotta say I think you're both worth price of the factory mats. Sets only I'm afraid. Good price here: http://www.trdsparks.com/displayparts.php?Mdl_dtl=586&Part_cat=23&parts_id=1848

Thanks Seattle Guy!

I've been pricing out the mats and liners on trdsparks and they do offer the lowest price. I just emailed them to ask if they will sell the driver's side separately. I think the RS should have come with mats!

Yeah they should. Think cars once did. Don't know when mats became options on anything less than 30k. GL on splitting a set.

I just bought a set of heavy duty floor mats (4 piece) from Sams for $20. I did some trimming on the driver's side so it isn't under the pedals (they are designed to be trimmed). I have had no slippage as of yet, and I'm confident they'll survive a few winters and all the gunk on my shoes. My other OEM floor mats barely lasted one winter in my last car.
