So I recently purchased a Boss Audio BASS600 amplified subwoofer and amp wiring kit, and I am wondering if I will be able to fit this thing underneath my driver seat... so I guess I am directing this question towards anybody who has done something like this.
The thing is I know next to nothing about car audio and bought this sub just to get a little extra bass. I have the upgraded pioneer head unit so I was thinking the installation should not be that big of a deal for whoever I pay to do it. Anyways, here are the dimensions for the sub, it's pretty small...
Product Dimensions: 13.6 x 9.8 x 2.6 inches ; 9.5 pounds
Also, if it won't fit under one of the seats, where is the best place to put it if I don't want to lose too much cargo space? And, should I pay to get this installed or will it be easy enough for a person like me to do? I apologize for my ignorance on the matter... any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Well I know it wont fit under the drivers seat unless you remove the jack for the car you could try the front passenger. As for the wiring it’s not that hard but if you have never done it before I suggest you find a friend who has and work on it together.

Thanks for the quick reply... what do you mean "jack for my car"? And, how hard is it to remove something like that? Why would it be easier to go under the passenger seat? thanks!

Under the drivers seat is our scissor jack :) So if you wanted to put it under the drivers seat you would need to remove the jack itself as well as the holder that is there.

not worth trying to fit it under the drivers seat. i cant measure the space under the copilots seat here at work. i suggest you take the sub out to the car and see if it will fit easily under the copilots seat coming in from the back. as to install, the worst part is getting ur power line from the battery to the cabin. theres a few posts you can serch for in the interior section that can explain in detail how to do it. i recommend you be mechanically inclined, have a well stocked tool box, and be a pretty patient person to do the install.
