Mobil 1. Good reputation. Never heard anything bad about it. All I'll use now. |

| Mobil 1 and Eneos if i stumble upon some extra pocket change. ive also never heard anything bad about their oil just that their filters may be a bit overpriced. eneos is a supplier in F1 so i assumed that they knew how to formulate a good synthetic. but they are quite expensive and hard to find in the regular spots (kragen, autozone etc). the closest dealer in my area is like 20 miles away.. |

Haven't used synthetic yet, but on my next oil change I will be using Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20.
Go to bobistheoilguy.com (in the forums) & you will see it is a great oil for the price. UOA (used oil analysis) show that it is a better product than Mobil 1.
If you want the best of the best, AMSOIL is what you want to get. |

| I use Motocraft 5-20 sythetic blend. $10.00 for a 5 quart jug at Walmart. I know it isn't the best oil out there but it is plenty good enough for a $16,000 Scion. |

| i usually use Quaker State Horsepower with moble one filter but last oilchange i used Mobile 1 Extended Performance because i moved again and now im an hour and 60 miles each way away from work and school so i figured it would help a little more, plus im getting up there in miles and its only getting worse (i average 1000 miles a week now :( ) |

| IMO, no matter what oil you use, you should stick to the mileage rules. |

In theory you can but it still gets dirty and contaminated. I have read about people that just replace the filter and top off the oil and go 25k miles or so but I would never try it. For the past twenty years I have used full synthetic and changed it every 6k or so and never had a problem. I guess I am getting cheap in my old age because I don't even use full synthetic anymore but still change it at 5-6k with a semi-synthetic. I think I will switch to full synthetic Mobil 1 0/20 or 5/20 at my next oil change to see if I can improve my gas mileage. |
