| Posted: 8/5/08 11:00AM Post subject: Project MU Type NS vs. Endless Vita Nuova ? |
|
|
so i'm looking into new brake pads for the box, and i want to get some nice aftermarket pads. i'm specifically looking at Project MU Type NS and the Endless Vita Nuova pads. No, I'm not looking at Axxis, Hawk, EBC, etc ... just personal choice.
Here is the Project Mu Type NS info:
http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/projectmu/typens.html
Here is the Endless Vita Nuova info:
http://www.mynismo.com/products/Default.asp?id=3135&v=more
Now, going upon the technical information present in the descriptions, i see that the PMU ones have a higher range of coefficient of friction and are less expensive. However, the Endless have a wider operating temp range and having Endless can never be a bad thing, and i think are sexier. My decision is to be based on the fact that i'm looking pretty much for street use in practical, daily situations and for occasional fun-runs through backroads.
Also, Endless Super Street Sports-Y are worth considering but are more expensive than both of the above:
http://www.mynismo.com/products/Default.asp?id=3190&v=more
They have a higher operating temp range and greater coefficient of friction and bite.
can anyone help with input and suggestions between these pads?
common sense would say go with the Project Mu's, but my heart wants to go with Endless ... |

Are you looking to spend a ton of money? Haha.
My Endless pads for my tC were $230.
But they're damn good. :) |

| I only replaced my fronts, too. You'll feel quite a bit of difference. |

| Since they are only brake pads, why dont you try both of them out and then post up what you feel are pro's & con's of each set so the rest of us know |

| got and installed the Project Mu Type NS pads .... great impressions so far. good bite and they feel very strong. don't think they are any better than the OEM pads (from what i can tell so far), but they are definitely worth the money so far ... |
