I just got my Injen CAI delivered today :D
What I want to know is do you practice safe CAI?
How do you protect from hydrolock? |

I say naked, Just watch out for areas that will engulf your lower bumper. It takes alot of water to hydrolock a motor(My best friend did it to his 3rd motor in his subaru) little splashes will be protected for the most part.
Stay away from the aem bypass it will crumble with time and then get sucked into your motor. (again seen it happen).
I have the Aem intake and Im naked...
hope this helps

| i'm running AEM naked and haven't even come close to getting the intake close to water deep enough to cause a problem. if you live in a flood proned area and will have to drive thru it, i'd buy the bypass from AEM, but would keep an eye on it so it doesn't come apart and get sucked in the engine, as mentioned before. if there is no chance of forging thru water, go naked. chicks dig it!!! |
