|
|
ok so many might already read my post on ptuning exhaust well this just another poll
Ok everyone this is a serious poll. If you are interested or would ever consider such a product please vote on this.
So we all know there is a big scuba tank aka resonator/cat under are car that drowns alot of the tone in our exhaust system. Theres nothing out there on the market for direct replacement but I'm trying to see if there is enough people interested in a direct bolt on replacement from S-pipe to axel. If there is a demand we might be able to get Ptuning to develop it.
Im not guarenting but could be highly possible.
So the poll here is on
If you would be intersted in a direct bolt on replecement from spipe to axle back of the exhaust for 2008 xb, and if you would like a 2.25 inch or 2.5 inch set up.
please leave your opinion and vote
thank you

| for a NA setup which would be better 2.25 or 2.5? and what well be the difference? what i mean is will the 2.25 give better low-high rpm and the 2.5 is mainly mid-high rpm. i don't know much but i'm thinking it might be similar to if i would get a header a 4-2-1 is better for low-high rpm meaning having a good gain in all rpm range giving more torque compared to a 4-1 mainly the gains is on the high end of the rpm giving slightly better hp. please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. i'm still think of which setup should i get 2.25 or 2.5. i know most would go with 2.5 thinking bigger is better but i know thats not true |

| After seeing weapon-r's dyno of thier header and intake with and with out an exhaust hooked up makes me think I'd like to see a 2.5in. They picked up almost ten hp if i remember correctly by removing the exhaust. |

2.5 seems the best to me cause it isnt so big that it would cause scavenging problems and allows for a bit of boost before maxing out
edi: also, i know ptuning is known for good products but i do hope they properly develop this so that its tucked up close so that for those that have retarded driveways and are lowered (me...) dont scrape the pipe... |

| 2.5 doesn't seem too big... most after market exhausts are around 2.5 i think... I know the turbo guys tend to go with 3" full exhaust, so 2.5 will be a nice increase over stock without going overboard... i am def interested... |

yea the ptuning exhaust are very nice sounding
i hope if we get enought ppl to want this they would develop something
i know there is a bigger demand for just a replacement center instead of a 3" full exhaust but if we are lucky hopefully ptuning will make it
heres there reply too my question about a full exhaust system
"Hello,
We designed and produced the 3" turbo-back system for the tC because of the
high demand.
If we have the same high demand for the 2008+ xB exhaust, we definitely
would consider producing one.
If we can get commitments from 50+ customers, we can start prototyping."
but im sure if we can show them the demand for this s-pipe to axle replacement product they would consider producing it
thanks for everyone who has voted so far the more that vote closer to having a sexyier sounding box |

I searched youtube for sound clips and I came to this conclusion:
The tC with the Ptuning exhaust sounds fantastic. It doesn't seem too obnoxiously loud, but it does seem a little on the loud side. The price on the tC 3" SS header back is around about $1000. That does seem like a bit of $$$, but you have to take into consideration that it's all polished stainless and it'll last longer than your car.
It also has a nice OEM look. No big fart cans. |

I agree. 50+ people is quite a few.
Plus, I don't have $1000 to spend on an exhaust... :( |

well im not looking for a full turbo back system so i trying to get enough votes for just a post spipe to axle back replacement
so i dont think would be any where near $1000
but it would be well worth it
i just put in my weapon r header spipe set up feels really nice but could really use a new center
the more air flow hitting the stock cat not to attractive of a sound
post videos when get a chance
but yea thanks for the people who voted and ppl that havnt please feel free to your not going to be obligated to purchase product if made but if you would more than likely purchase such an item vote
thank you |
