I love the borla i have and it sounds great. I was quoted 200 for installation and everything with a magnaflow muffler to replace my scuba tank. I know thatll be too loud for what im looking for so i was thinking of putting that muffler on and fabricating my resonator back on right behind the magnaflow, cut off both end of the resonator and weld it up there behind the magnaflow. Has anyone ever done this, how do you think it will sound? i know the resonator wont block alot of the sound but it will block some.....thoughts? suggestions? thanks all
I have some new mods ill post pics later.....

Do you have the single or dual borla exhaust?
I personally would just leave it alone. Both sound good from the vids I've heard. Removing the scuba tank would probably make it sound really loud (in a bad way). |

| when you took out the scuba tank, did you replace it w/ a high flow cat or a test pipe? |

When i took it off i just unbolted it from the top bolts and drove around the block. no test pipe or anything on it, just basically a straight pipe close to the header. way to loud though. not a good sound either |

| You can always replace the scuba tank with a resonator. The tc guys seem to like 30in resonators to remove rasp when they have full exhaust on. Another option would be to either get a high flow cat + a resonator in place of the scuba tank. Or you could get a high flow cat and a glass pack. The glass pack should deepen and kinda rough up the sound. I think glass packs sound nice usually, but everyone has thier own opinion. Your best bet would be go into your regional forum and ask around for a good exhaust shop, then take your car there and see what options you have. |
