Um... It definitley doesn't come off. I usually park in my garage but I had to park outside a couple day a last week. I just threw a black towel over the dash so you can't see anything. When not using the towel I just folded it up, reached over and stuffed it under the rear seat.
I think a big black towel is very handy in the car. It makes a great "cargo cover" too. It also helps keep reflections of whatever's in the trunk from beeing seen in the rear window when you're driving. |

nope, it's on there. Come to think of it, I dont recall any newer double dins with a removable face |

nope, it's on there. Come to think of it, I dont recall any newer double dins with a removable face

I have this unit and its freakin AWESOME!! but yea, you probably dont wanna walk around with the faceplate in your pocket |
