| I searched the forums and didn't find exactly what I need to know. My wife has a 2006 xB and wants the gauge LED's changed to red. There are two sizes of LED's used, the ones behind the clock are smaller, I don't remember the size off hand. I changed those but they seem spotty. When I turn the switch on to get the gauges to light up, you can see each of the four LED's under the LCD screen. The light doesn't spread out to cover the entire LCD. What I want to know is, can I put the PLCC-2 LED's that are used for the rest of the gauge cluster behind the clock? |

| Basically, what's happening is that the LEDs used are a higher output than the stock ones. From what I've heard, you can take a frosted piece of gel or plastic, put a 'V' bend in it and place it between the LEDs and LCD... this should diffuse the light enough to not see the individual LEDs. |

I will give that a shot.
Does anyone know if the PLCC-2 LED will work under the LCD screen? |
