I just replaced my driver side front wheel bearing, at 65K miles. That's lame that it would go out so soon.
But my question is, should wheel bearings be replaced in pairs, like most suspension parts?
Thanks |

| Unless you are getting signs the other bearing is going out, don't worry about it. The sealed units the xB use generally only fail at that kind of mileage if they get dirt/water in them or there is a defect. |

You are not the only one who has had it replaced. We had a customer come in with about that many miles and replaced both of them. You do not need to do both either, just the one that is bad. We also had to replace the one on the rear for another customer, but that was because they curbed their wheel and when doing so messed up the bearing in the process.
bEWARE THE rear bearing assembly is dealer item only and is in the $350 range for the part alone. :( |

| How hard was it to do? One of my boxes is starting to make a bit of noise. |
