|
well i have been modding my xB a lot lately and havnt really shared any of the progress. I didnt really feel like posting it up one by one if that makes sense..
the mod list so far is:
Tanabe DF210s
Tanabe front strut bar
Fujita CAI
TRD quick shifter
Greddy 480g shiftknob
Carbon Creations CF hatch and spoiler
Factory fog light kit (installed myself)
Black headlight mod aka BHLM with smoked reflectors
removed squirrel finders in projectors
sweet TRD license plate
the car doesnt have HIDs in it yet. The cutoff pic is just the factory bulbs with the squirrel finder removed. HIDs go in sometime this week. 6000k headlights and 3000k fogs
onto the pics... comments and critisism definately welcome

Booooo!!! HISSSS!!!
J/k. I want to shave mine, but I'd rather have one that I can drop off at the body shop while it's done instead of mobbin around with out a hatch. |

it's a mod to reduce HID glare when incorporating HID kits to non-HID cars. see the pix on page 4 to get further details.
08SWbox, nice! i've always been partial to black/white panda cars. lookin good, just need some shoes! just keep in mind with the higher K u go with HID it'll be more difficult to see in weather situations; i currently have 5000K hid conversion kit and wish I had gotten 4300 instead.
where you planning on putting the ballasts for the fog lights? just wonderin cus i might wanna go same route. let me know if you also get radio noise feedback at night when your lights are on with radio, it's a tad bit annoying and i might go OE if i ever find the motivation to do my true retro-fit/halo lights. |

the headlights were easy to do. Much easier to take them apart than the tacoma headlights were when i did them.
fog lights are very easy to install. The wires are already in the car you just have to take off the bumper and youll see them tied up.
Im running 6k headlights and 3k fogs and i couldnt be happier with the light output that comes off the front of this car. I can be driving in the middle of the freeway(lane 2) and light up the wall as well as the signs on the shoulder.
The car now has a bluebats overlay on the front bumper and i bought myself some wheels. Just saving up for some tires that will fit on them. |
