Ok, so I was messing with the rear doors like I had said I would. Well after taking the speakers out and looking at the mounting area. There is room to make the 8" fit on the mounting area. Just have to trim the hole to let it fit. But the problem is not the mounting area. It is the door brace that is behind the hole. There is a metal tube brace in there. It is 2.5" from the mounting area. So if you have a very slim 8" you would be fine. The 8"s that I used in my front doors are 3.4" deep. So I would have to make close to a 1.5" spacer to make it work. Now that is not out of the question yet. I just have to make sure that I have the clearance from the panel to the door to make it work. Here is a couple quick pics to let everyone see what I mean.

| what are you using to cut the metal.... I pulled my old speakers out and was going to install my 8's, but between all the deadener and the size of my mids I am not sure I can get them in there.... I just got my mounting rings in, so will check again tomorrow. |

| Aw damn I hate to hear that, still think I may be able to work with that though. My 8's are 3.5" but have a smaller diameter neo motor, I hope small enough to miss that brace. |

the door brace is the safety beam in the door. It would be very hard to cut it. Mainly cause there is very limited room to get in there.
I use a body saw to cut the metal. I am going to mess with mine some more after I get back. I have to go to VA for the week. |

| Hence the name of the thread. I already did one on the front doors. People are asking about the rear doors. |
