| Those rims are beautiful...somehow though I don't see them working on that color. You have the gold rush, yeah? |

Koolbox--
Red and gold go well together. There is a fair amount of black on the exterior (pillar tape, grills, etc). You might be able to find other ways to add some red accents. Removing the pillar tape might help balance your three color scheme. Then again the tail lights are pretty damn red (unless you've replaced those).
The Gold Rush paint has a slight green undertone to it. Talking about creativity, wonder if a set of dark green (or British racing green like the old Jags) wheels would look? Might be slick.
I am having a hard time figuring out which wheels to go with. I am thinking about black chroming some full face wheels.
Please post pics when you get 'em on...I am very curious to see how it looks. |

KoolBox, have you considered painting your brake calipers red to match the wheel lips and tie things together?
GOLD_PLAYTD, I think these wheels would look great on the RS5:
18x8.5 Axis Halo with Gold stripe (6mm or 10mm available, 6mm shown)

CIONIDE--Great idea on painting the brake calipers.
Nice wheels. I had seen the Halos before and like them. Very sharp looking rim. Although, I have a bit of a tendency to be unique. I had spoke style rims on 89 Corolla back when Euro style spoke wheels were starting to make their way into the market.
To me, the XB has nice lines. After perusing a lot of the spoke style, I thought of the old school Center Line Champ 506 with the 5 holes. I'm thinking the circular patterns will balance the square lines of the XB. (Second reference to balance)
I am having a hard time copying pictures to this reply, so I am providing the links....this is the wheel that I like the most. IMO it is really classy looking. However, it is polished aluminum....

And.... it looks like the backspacing is too deep. If I am correct in the mm to inch conversion it would be in 1.5 inch range. Yes, No?

I like the look of spoke racing wheels...but I'd like something different. But damn! the color. Ultimately, if I had to go with spokies, the Halos you referenced would definitely be on the short list. I like that they're 7 spoke.
Wonder how KoolBox is doing on painting those calipers?
