I was wondering if anyone has run into the problem I'm having: I want to get a new double din deck for my '06 but I bought the dealer installed sirius option whenI first bought the car. I want to know if there is a pioneer deck that works with the sirius connect box that the dealer installed. Double din decks are expensive as it is, and I don't want to buy new satellite components when the dealer already charged me 400 for them. I went to a local stereo install place and he said he wasn't sure. I'm assuming that if it did work with an after market stereo, the deck would have to be pioneer.
Thanks in advance! |

I have the same concerns for my radio. I was looking at the Pioneer DVD player, but want to make sure the sirius will work with it.
Did you ever find anything out?? |

| i talked to two stereo installers, one's who are pretty reputable, and they said it wont. one installer told me that if was compatible with the pioneer deck, then they wouldn't install a new one and charge me for it. but, he said not to hold my breath on it working. in hindsight, i shouldn't have had the dealer install the sirius, becuase if you want to get new deck eventually your going to have ro replace the satellite receiver. oh, well, something to remember on my next car. |
