| Heard a pop and an intermitant metal rattle. Took it to the dealer and the technician showed me where the sway bar busted all the way through the weld on the right side and was cracked on the left. The dealership replaced it with a new sway bar but also mentioned to me they thought it was a bad design or badly engineered. When the next one breaks and it is no longer under warranty, what kind should I get installed? sorry wrong forum... |

| Sounds like you just a defected unit. My TRD swaybar has been rocking solid for almost 20k miles now. |

| I have both front and rear Hotchkis bar, love em. I may stack a second rear bar in the future. |

| It almost had to have been a defective bar. There are untold thousands of these bars out there, and this is the first failure story I've heard. Personally, I'd rock it and not worry about it breaking again. |
