I finally found some amber, not blue led nozzles for my car. I hate the fact it does not have drls and hate to leave the regular lamps on and was lookin for an alternative. These lamps are noticable day or night and right now are hot wired to the battery to stay on. Since they are leds, no worry about battery drain, plus they seem to have a high flicker like hid lights.

Here is an attempt at a night photo. Pretty easy swap out, just 2 sprayers per nozzle vs the oem 3.

like the idea but have you thought of using the EFI fuse under the hood so they can be turned off with the key...

They do stay on. I think thats cool. I want to run a wire from the acc fuse to under the hood, but havent done so yet. I hate to hack too much of the electrical system since its under warranty as to why leading to the battery directly.

Haha, warranty, I could just see it. Dealer: We're not fixing your transmission. See that wire going from your battery to those after market nozzles? They caused your gears to get too hot and break apart when the car shifts. So you have to pay us $10,000 to put in a new one.

Yeah, right. I can see if I tapped the efi fuse how that can screw up my tranny, but I hooked directly to the battery. :)

I'm just being sarcastic. Even if your wheel fell off they would blame you for adding the nozzles. Like with, I think it's Jeep, they supposedly have a life time warranty. Everyone that keeps up with cars a little knows Jeep has bad automatic transmissions. I'm sure they'll find away around having to replace them all. What's this? You added an aftermarket gear shifter, well that's your problem right there, so we can't fix this for you.

Yeah, I know.

Chrysler use to love the viscus disks and used them everywhere. Then the metric series transmissions. When I was a chrysler mechanic, I did lots of work on the old K cars.

I am guessing the warranty is non transferrerable or you must have the dealer service the car every 5000 miles forevar.

Ahh, yes, that's a good one. If you go a single mile or a single day over a recommended service they would probably consider the warranty void.

Did you add a switch or anything to the nozzles yet? Are they distracting at night? I can't see the hood anyway but do you get a glare or anything on the windshield?

BUSTED!!! Henrico County pulled me over last night and told me those were not allowed in VA. Funny thing is he did not id me, ask me to leave my car or anything. Just asked me to roll down the window, did I have any weapons and that the nozzles can not be illuminated at any color. So, they are disconnected. :( I was scared to death he was going to cite my hids.

Why? Do they lure people into standing in front of your car at night like those blue bug lights?

So a tractor trailer can have literally dozens of lights all over the cab, but two tiny LED's on a car, well that's a serious threat to peoples lives.

Beats me, I guess a lot of accidents have been caused by people with amber illuminated wipre nozzles.

Funny he just noticed this since I live in a gated community and pass a few cops each day entering, leaving, plus they patrole the lot and they were hot wired to the battery so they were on 24/7.
