OTG spacer questions

Lookin into the 10mm just for the rear , just wondering if anyone had some before and after shots with the stock steelies and is it a simple put it over the studs and bolt the wheel back up mod or is there a little more to it ? I always thought the rear tires were just too unusually spaced together :(

It's a pretty easy mod. If you lower a car, it would be a breeze for you. I don't have any good shots.

do not use the "wheel" spacer type thing, ive seen too much go wrong with them.

what would be a better choice it the "hub" spacer type.

a # of compainies sell this type of spacer and you will never have any problems with them

Thanks for the heads up , I have been doing alot of reading up and I have heard everything to studs breaking and other problems from the spacers and alota mixed thoughts, I will eventually go for the hub spacer from otg, I know this might sound silly because its probably really easy but just how exactly does it go on ?

Be sure you get the black anodized ones if you can (there's an ebay seller that has them) as they won't corrode and look nasty.

the evolved concept hub spacers are black.
if its realy that importaint to you you could always paint them too.

were do you see black ones on ebay?

PM him on here. You can get the 1/2 inch spacers that will make the rears match the fronts for around 50 bucks shipped.

thank you for the insight again I really appreciate it, just a few noobie questions though, I am fed up with the rear wheels on how close they are spaced and I do want to do something about it, Which size hub spacers should I go with to see results to have them about the same as the front or a bit more ?
Also I have been hearing that people had trouble reconnecting the abs line back because it was extended, how did that work out ?

Once again I really appreciate everyones advice :)

The rear track is 1 inch narrower than the front so you would want the 1/2" spacers to make them even.
No problem with the abs connection. Just be careful cause the clip is plastic. The hardest thing people biatch about it the E brake cable. It will seem really tight when you first add the spacers but will not cause any issues.

those are in the wheel spacer catagory.
but are much better because they are being bolter on and then you have a hole new set to bolt for your wheel to go on to, but will still add stress to your bearings and break components.
those would be my second choice to the hub spacer style.
the "hub" spacer style will not add any stress to any part of your car, infact come with much stronger bolts then what was there stock.

thanks for the info , the only reason I was feeling the adapters was I wanted something around 15 or 20mm for the rear and only the rear so I can even it out with the front. The hubs sound like a great choice but do they come in anything over 10mm ? I think they sell something where its like a double plated hub but its like 170 beans

as far as i know the biggest hub spacer is a 15mm.
a 10mm should make the rear even with the front, thats what i started with.

if you want, there is nothing wrong with double stacking 2 10mm hub spacers. you just have to get longer bolts.

the Ichiba wheel spacers are not cheep eather.
Ichiba is a well respected compainy and if you were set on going with that type of spacer thats who id deal with.
