|
|
I've been looking for a switch that will fit into the xD's center console. There are those four little pop outs right by the e-break.
I have 7" monitors in my head rests and they come on when I start my car, I would like to have a nice stock looking switch so I can leave them off unless I have people in the backseat.
I also want to get a fog light kit or maybe some type of lighting kit and again I want to be able to wire everything up to a nice looking switch.
The only switch I've ever been able to find that fits correctly is the switch that came with my bluetooth car kit.
Picture:
I also believe the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) on/off switch is installed in this location, correct?
Other then these two proprietary switches, has anyone else found something that fits correctly?
I've read all about the GSW-45 Rocker Switch, however the new 2008+ Scion Models this switch doesn't fit like it did in the xB1, xA, and tC. So am I just out of luck for now or has someone found something that works and looks good? |

| I'll check the fog lamp switch on Monday. The fog lamp switch goes in the 'knock out' spots and is a simple on/off switch. The Tacoma one should fit I think. |

| The switch will most likely fit, but you'll either have to live with the diagram for fog lights on them or sand it off, possibly use some type of chemical like MEK or Acetone to take it off. |

| Here's a very simple solution. Just mount a switch or button from Radio Shack onto the existing cover. I've done this with tC's before and it works great! All you have to do is find a switch or button that you like, pop the cover out, drill a hole in it, and stick the switch/button there. Then all you have to do is pop it back in! |

rofl, it's too big. I'll check a tC fog lamp switch

Ok, I should have done this Saturday =P The cover on the xD is the same as the Yaris Hatch. All the other vehicles have a larger cover. The only switch that is made in that size from Toyota is the Yaris Hatch's door lock switch! LOL. |

| Oznium sells rocker style switches that fit for the tC, not sure if the xD is the same size though. |

LOL! Hopefully your salesman dodged the speed bumps! It's not fun going over the tiny tall speed bumps in that structure  |

That of course would be the _easy_ way to do it, but it's not quite the look I want.

Can you post a picture of the switch with a part number? |
