I have an 08 xb obviously

15,000 miles slammed on df's with 16's and stock size tires

I drove to AC the other day and traffic was bad; it was a constant stop to 25-30 then stop again. In that gap from like 10mph to 25 or 30 my car shook real bad and I can best describe it as a hoppping senssation from the drivers side. I don't notice it at higher speeds its only when I slow down from those speeds or from a stop to like 30. Got new rims and tires but I don't think that would be it. I drive my car super harsh and the onl;y thing I can come to is that I blew out shocks and struts.; need some advice and if I take it to the dealership will they check it out for free or will they charge me?

Jon

aprreciate it

Have you checked ALL of the shock and strut nuts for tightness, including the two front shock absorber lock nuts that you were supposed to replace when you installed the DF springs?

See pages 5 & 6 of the TRD spring install instructions if you're not sure which lock nuts I'm talking about.

From your description it sounds like you just put on the new wheels recently?
If that is the case you should check that out too. Are you sure the lugnuts are all tight? Do your wheels have hubcentric rings? These are things that can cause vibrations too.

Good luck figuring it out.

As to the dealer question, if it turns out to be related to your aftermarket wheels or suspension most dealers are going to charge you for the diagnosis.
