|
|
got my whole exhaust done a few days ago. i removed the scuba tank and replace it with a magnaflow spun metal core cat and a magnaflow 24" or 30" silencer and a straight 2.5" pipe w/o muffler. heres some pics
before..........
and after............
i got the sound i was going for " a deep rumble ". sound great but i do have a big problem. my setup now is a injen cai, weapon-r header and s-pipe and a 2.5" full custom exhaust w/o scuba tank and muffler. basicly i don't have a real cat now just a race cat. the problem is, it's very very loud, you could hear me coming from a few blocks away loud and clear. inside the car theres sum vibrations coming from the exhaust and i can't hear my engine noise anymore" intake ". so now i'm planning on getting a muffler but not sure which one should i get. for the options i have now is either get a trd, tanabe touring, hks, magnaflow. from the 5 different brands which is the most quiet? i'm looking for one that can help cut down the sound by 20% is all i need. any comments, info or opinions is much appreciated. thank you in advance for the help i get. |

i also replaced my scuba tank, but just with a 14" magnaflow muffler. at first i was like holy hell this is way to loud but after a week i got used to it. yea its a lil ricey but i like being noticed in my cars. i might actually add a highflow magnaflow cat to go back to the 2 cat setup these cars have.
but give it some time it might grow on u. |

| Tanabe touring is alomost as quiet at stock. The exhaust note is much deeper though. Nice low rumble. I like the style of the tip the best out of all exhaust. As alwyas, GREAT Tanabe quality. |

| You should have installed a resonator and 2.25" exhaust piping if you wanted less noise. |

I think the Tanabe has a deeper rumble tone than the TRD. Sound level is about the same. The Tanabe looks and is made better better though. I really didn't care for the look and quality of the TRD exhaust. |

Same here, was never into the TRD exhaust, dont like the look of it and i heard you can barley tell a difference with it. Too much money for something that doesnt do worth a damn |

well i did thought about it but 2.5" would give me better flow and performance and i didn't expect it to be that loud w/o the sucba tank. it's just very loud right now w/o any rasp that what i really like about it.
where can i get the best price for the tanabe touring? |
