| well of course. i can get s/c for about 3500 plus tax installed by dealer and with the TRD reflash and everything rolling out with my s/c tc. i know it would cost me about $4k for a good turbo kit then about $500 for a good tune and gauges and all kinda other crap. idk by the time i get the money for anything anyway the s/c for the 07 will prob be down to where the 05-06 one is now and ill prob just get that. |

I'm not trying to be an obnoxious dick. The inherent differences between turbo and supercharging warrant the question. Plus, there have been plenty of people that have gone the F/I route where all they were thinking about was "I want to go faster", and they've ended up melting their car.
It's not a life or death decision, but it's a serious one that involves several thousands of dollars and requires someone at least have a decent knowledge about what they're getting into besides "now it goes faster". If you don't know whether you want t/c or s/c, chances are you should probably do a little more background research on your own (where the neighborhood friendly button comes in) before you seriously consider anything. |

| yes and i completely understand. and i have done plenty of research. too much to where it drives me crazy. yes turbo will be better for power but will cost a lil more money and will be more efficient. but s/c might be a lil cheaper. wont push as much power but also it adds to the value of my car if i decide to get rid of it. its a warranty product and also keeps my car under warranty. any problems with it the dealership must fix it. turbo breaks its my problem. so all that money i dump into a turbo kit and it breaks there goes a lot of money down the drain. IMO a s/c will be a smarter decision to give my tc a lil more pep because thats what i want. i want a faster daily driver not a race car. i can do a few other things to the s/c to give it more pep if i need too thats no big deal. i just feel that s/c would be a better suitable f/i for me and what im looking to do. thats why i posted this thread. to see what others thought of the benefits of their s/c before i go and dump thousands of dollars into it. big investment. |

| pretty much lol. i just wanted other peeps opinion on their decision and investment for what they did. i have road in a s/c car with the 9.5 pulley and IMO it def had power. i loved it. never ridden in a turbo tc before and i dont think i want to cause it will just make my decision harder because of the power it has lol. but as of now its still s/c FTW. if ima spend $4k on something i want to be able to get most of that back if i trade it in and not have to worry about selling it to someone to try and get my money back. once its installed it aint coming off. ya know. also would it be worth it in the future to sell my megan header and getting a weapon r header for power with the s/c. it would be properly wrapped or coated of course for the heat given off for the s/c but would it be worth running header back exhaust rather than a stock header and 2.5 s pipe back exhaust? |

i agree. there are huge differences between the two, if you track it on a curvey track you don't want 300 hp shooting up in the middle of a turn, you want gradual strong power.
turbo = more of sudden power
sueprcharger = gradual.
that's the big difference other than power |
