searched the postings but no luck on any answers.
this past weekend my battery died after only 30k miles. so i got the new one up and running, but now i have only right side speakers working. the left side is very faint when i put the balance all the way to the left side.
any ideas? i'm sure someone here knows...
thanks! |

| are you 100% sure they are related? sounds like two individual problems to me. Have you pulled the HU as of late? |

| haven't touched the HU at all. of course i can't be sure that the left side wasn't working before the battery died, the only way i knew was because the radio reset and i had to mess with the FAD/BAL settings. when i go full left there was hardly any sound. not sure what else it could have been... |

i know ur gonna hate hearing this ( i usually do) but ur gonna have to trace the speaker problem back to the root by looking at everything. Start by checking HU connections at the harness. If you have a sub out converter check the splices there too. Have the speakers been changed?-may have to check their connections.
I'd play with the hu a bit. The fact that ur hearing faint sounds is a bit strange. Its usually an all or nothing deal. Try resetting it again if connections are good |

nah, no new speakers, it's still all stock audio equipment. could i have made a mistake somehow when i installed the new battery? do you think i could take it to toyota (as much as we hate to) to see if they'd check it out under warranty? or would they throw a fit because i had to replace their cheap butt battery and claim it was my fault they're not working?
sorry for all the noob questions, i just don't know much about audio/electronics... |

| i might tell them the stereo isnt workin and have them take a look at it. i highly doubt it will be traced back to the battery |

I was going to say the xa,xb,tx adjustment for the design of the car the radio is installed in and speaker placement.
