mmk, so i'm lowered on hotchkis springs with hotchkis sways, i've had them for some time, and my car feels great. They've probably been on there for a good 6 months. HOWEVER, over the past like 2 months we'll say there's been this little clunking or metal on metal noise coming from the front right, it sounds more like tis coming from somewhere in the engine bay area, like behind the dash, not from the strut or anywhere obvious. Symptoms: whenever i give the car a little bit of gas from a stop it makes the noise, or whenever i get on the breaks it makes the noise. It seems like the rocking motion makes it happen. Not like bumps or anything, i've checked the strut tops, and its torqued down. Has anyone had this happen to them? i've checked many a thread and not found anyone with the same issue. So if you have any idea what it is, or a suggestion as to what i should check for please let me know, it sounds like my car is falling apart.
thanks |

| Actually I have the same sort of noise coming from mine. I also have the same setup as you. After looking at everything, I noticed my front right endlink has a broken ball joint. So I just went around and tightened all the endlinks. Not sure if that actually was the problem but the noise has since gone away. Hope that helps. |

| So, i'd like to say thank you thorium for your help. After driving back home today so i could have a garage to work on my car, i took the time to get under there and check my bolts, turns out my sub frame was loose, but now its all gravy, and my car is back in business, and no longer sounds like a piece. |

| well I see alot of rust... but which part were you thinking of? The picture does show where the sway bar meets up with your endlinks. I would try tightening those and see if that helps. |
