|

Hi all,
I am new here and i just wanted to know what everyone liked and disliked about their second generation xB. My lease is ending in about a month and I am thinking about getting an xB or something from honda. Does anyone recommend taking the xB snowboarding? because i am an avid boarder. |

| cnstarz pretty much summarized up the goods and the bads of the xb2. The only thing I'll add is the sun/window visors are worthless! |

umm i have not heard of anyone taking the xb up the lift. i think you insurance company would get a bit iffy on it....lol
umm seriously take the xb for a spin and see what you like and dislike about it.
umm one thing i didn't like about it was the armrest onely on one side. but wasnt a deal breaker. just wish both passenger and driver had two each. |

| It DOES NOT come with free oil changes for life... you have to pay extra for that.... Other then that it is probably the best/most versatil car for under $20k... |

cons its an inexpensive toyota product...
pros its a toyota product :D
there is things within each one of those that might make you not want it and really want it...
i really wanted it :D and love it a lot :D i had the civ in my line up and an na mini and a mazda 3...none of them came close to the features and specs for the price like this one...and if your going ff with a 4 banger in the mountains its not gonna suck, comes with abs, eba, traction, and stability control...dont know if thats gonna be enough in the mountains...never drove up there with anything na or less than an inline 6...but i doubt youll have a problem... |

It only cost me $1 :lalala:
But I still do my own, I don't trust anyone working on my ride. I just found out yesterday Nissan stripped a wheel stud on the right rear wheel of my Fiance's car and I only found out because I was changing the brake pads. :flame: |

| Check out the xD as well. It's kind of the missing link between the 1gen and 2gen xB. |

oh you are right, i think it cost me like $100-$150 or something. i can't remember. so, it pays for itself after 3 or 4 oil changes. still an offer that almost no other car company offers. |

The only negatives I've found so far are minor inconveniences. Most have already been mentioned. The xB just looks so cool, is so much fun to drive, has so much interior space in such a small package and offers so much bang for the buck that the little things are easy to live with.
Probably most important for your needs, it has traction control, but not AWD. I've only had my xB since May, so I don't know how it handles in snow...yet. |

I'd like it if it came with mud guards and if the floor had more sound insulation, but it's def. a fun vehicle to drive around.
When I first got it in July of last year, there were so few of them around, that I'd get looks all the time and people asking me about it. Now, there's like 4 others in my neighborhood, and I don't go a day without seeing another one on the road. Not so many people turning their heads, but I still see them heads turning. |
