not sure where to post this so i just put this in here. now i got my I/H/E done i'm looking into cutting down some weight. when i was installing the intake i took out the factory battery and notice it's quiet heavy. i saw some online for around $100 weight about 10lbs but not sure is it right for me. i'm not really plan on doing anything w/the audio going to keep it untouch for now. i see some people using Kinetek but dont know is it good for a daily driver.

Definitely the bigger (KHC800 950A) one. You can never have too many cold cranking amps. That's a good price too, I'd jump on it.

I don't see how it could hurt. You're getting a battery with more capacity and it's lighter.

IIRC, the Kinetik's amperage rating is short circuit amperage, not any type of cranking amps. They're great batteries, I actually have an extra battery which is a HC1800 model, just for my stereo.

You could look into Powermaster's line, but I still think they're rather heavy. There's companies that make batteries for light weight purposes. Kinetik's more targeted towards car audio.

I think it is out. They had some of the batteries at SEMA last year. But then again, I have not seen them or heard of any yet. I will ask them since they are one of my sponsors.

i see that they have 4 different model, pc680, pc680mj, pc680t, pc680mjt.
what is the difference between them?
is the one w/metal jacket more suitable to install it in the engine bay because it can withstand high temp?
where can i get it cheap?
thank you for all the info that you have provided it's very helpful and i appreciate you opinions thanx again
