to combine different pieces of a kit together?
I have the 5 Axis kit on a SW Xb, but i love the rear valance of the AIT kit. It makes the car look more aggressive. I was thinking of putting that on the rear with the sides and front of the 5 Axis, thats if AIT even part out their kit.
What do you guys think?
UPDATE
First...side view with the 5Axis rear....
With the AIT rear....
A few extra pics...
just got it installed at AIT and snapped a few quick photos.
The Ait rear flares out a bit so im gonna be pulling the sideskirts more outward and redrilling it over to make it more flush with rear. and yes..i'll be removing that 5axis emblem in the back since its not a pure 5axis kit anymore. |

| i dont think combining parts from different kits is tacky. if you have to mix and match to find the perfect combo then great. chances are once you do it you'll have followers |

go for it.i'll do the same too mix and match to make your own ride look better and unique. as of right now i'm looking for a rear diffuser for my G.R. xb so i can still keep the Kenstyle. i found a 5 axis rear piece for $80 including shipping and i was about to get it and make it fit but the only thing that hold me back is it's a dual exhaust style and i'm not planning on putting a dual exhaul so there will be an empty slot and that will look wierd to me at least. also there is no point for me to fill up the space w/a fake one i'm not into that.
plain and simple " do what you want to do " |

| yeah, usually, it looks very tacky because a whole body kit is designed so that the lines and theme are carried around the whole car, chances of being able to tastfully mix and match them are slim. |

| I'd say the same go for it. As long as the parts flow together then why the hell not? Plus how many people have the exact same kit? Who want's the same like the first guy said give 5 to the face if they say anything different. |

but yeah as a lot of people say.. your car.. your style.. do what you'd like.. conform by being unique.. you did the koi fish thing on your own and that looks amazing! make it yours
oh btw.. my car's almost done.. you still want to take pictures of it?

ok...so i made my decision...
after much thought and comparison pictures of the AIT rear lip vs. the 5Axis'....
I went ahead and visited AIT today and purchased it. They only do in-house paint and installation for the kit, so stay tuned as i will post pics when done. |
