Hey, quick question regarding an iPod and the tC.
I just bought a used 2007 tC. It didn't come with an iPod pluggin in. But it does have the aux pluggin. I'm just wondering, what benefit (if any) is there to using an actual iPod pluggin as opposed to just using the aux pluggin for the iPod?
I don't have an iPod now (nor do I know pretty much anything about them), but after I get some cash back (buying the tC really put me in the hole :() I'm definitely considering one, and will probably use it in the car a lot. |

| It charges every iPod available(to my knowledge) and the old iPhone. It also lets you control your music by choosing song, playlist, artist, or album. Basicly it turns your headunit into an ipod and the ipod as a hard drive |

alright, thanks for the replies.
buttt... another question. does the 2007 model have a spot for an ipod pluggin? I found the aux pluggin, but I haven't found a spot for an ipod pluggin (not sure what I should be looking for though).
sorry for the stupid questions. |

So right like this?

Well I guess I don't have an ipod pluggin then. I've got a little cover-like thing where it would be, but no actual pluggin. And there's no "iPod" option for the head unit, just an mp3 option.
Ah well, no big deal. Thanks for the info everyone. |

Yea I've got the 11807 then.
I'm probably gonna go out to radio shack sometime and pick up a cable so I can use this cheapo mp3 player my sister gave me like 5 years ago. I don't need anything special right, just a simple aux cable? |
