Ok fellas so i pick up this lovely young lady (26) at 830pm, dressed in an amazing dress and some high heels ready to go out to dinner to this really nice restaurant.
I hop on the Southern State PKWY and 2 miles down I see two state troopers pulled over on the side of the parkway with their lights on...I'm on the middle lane doing 50 and chit chatting away...2 minutes after i see on my rear view the first cop's headlights (i can tell a Crown Victoria from miles away) which blows past me. No stress what so ever. 10 seconds later the second one is creeping up on the left lane at a steady speed, comes directly next to me, slams his brakes and throws the *lights*
I pull over key off the ignition, put on the top of the roof windows down hands on steering wheel (the works)
Cop (as he sees the girl): Going out tonight?
Me: Yes officer, dinner at 9pm
Cop (smirks): I'm going to make this quick then, lights on the license plate, ILLEGAL, tint, wayyy too dark, muffler, too loud, front windshield, GET IT LIGHTER. (35% tint). Is your license clean?
Me: Yes officer
Cop: Wait right here.
me and the girl spent 6 minutes talking and laughing at the situation and sharing our crave for Filet Mignon and Shrimp Scampi respectively.
Cop (after 6 minutes): Hey, i tried hurrying, here it's a fix it ticket you have till monday 5pm to get different lights for the license plate and a silencer on the muffler. Have a goodnight and enjoy dinner!
Now i had to share this with you cause it was funny and I've had nothing but good experiences with cops. (actually just one assh0le :loser: )
My question is though where can i get a silencer to throw on for that 10 minutes besides the internet? And would it be cheaper than the actual ticket?

| haha nice story! i too was pulled over by the cops, and told me to get a silencer. i haven't got one yet, and i think i have the same exhaust as you do. the hks hi power axle back. i don't know the diameter of the muffler cuz i don't have a measuring tape. maybe someone else can chime in, and let us know. if you google exhaust silencers you can find lots, you jsut have to know which size to get it. |

i need it on the car before monday 5pm.
i also added megan header and S-pipe by the way :nails:
i just dont want to pay a stupid fine if i could just slap a ~ $20 silencer for 10 minutes you know? |

| I was checking HKS' website and saw they have a couple of silencers avail. for your hi-power exhaust. Here's the link. Best bet is to call up their authorized reseller in your state and ask if they have one in stock ready for pickup. Or call up some local performance/tuner shops to see if they have some universal ones. Anyhow, hopefully they're all open today. GL! |

| yeah man.. yesterday was bad in NY... cops everywhere... try getting in contact with planet scion.. theyre a sponsor here on ScionLife but are located in suffolk as well.. they might be able to help u out.. |

yeah it was really bad yesterday. i was picking up my girl at 2 in the morning and i saw at least 3 peeps pulled over. |

| You were lucky the cop didn't go to town on you for that tinted windshield. I've had worse experiences with mine. Mine used to be ridiculously dark but I lightened it up to 50% after po-po troubles. |
