|
|
i have a 07 scion and have been considering a couple of things including forced induction but after a long talk with a well educated friend he convinced me i should just do all-motor since i want my car to last me in the long run. i have a couple of questions though:
1. whats the difference between the ptuning turboback exhaust and the s-back?
2.i plan to do port and polish; the only worthy pistons ive seen are the dezod ones, are they're better ones?
3.from what i know, when it comes to all motor aka n/a, the parts list and things to do goes as follow:
intake, headers, exhaust, pnp, bigger valves, pistons, ecu upgrade.
since im not a car genious, what else can i do. price is not a problem as i know car hobbies are a investment and i have saved up a good amount for this.
any help will be appreciated. btw are they're any true dynos that show pnp because i keep reading about the zpi thing but they dont have the dynos. |

if you are going all motor, You don't need 3inch exhaust.
it is too wide for all motor.
i would recommend a 2.5inch exhaust from Dezod. |

| for all motor you should be doing 2.5" then i would do pistons, cams, rods (not really necessary) intake, exhaust, new head, and i would do standalone, but thats me |

| ECU. the Greddy Emanage is a piggyback, which means it plugs in behind the stock computer. a standalone replaces the entire computer |

no. unichip is a piggyback. i think the only ones who make a standalone for us is AEM. yes replace the cam gears when you do the cam shafts
plus brian cower just came out with cams so better for you |

| don't know how much money you wanna spend, but if you wanna do things to be a lil different and have a all motor car that really lasts, you could sleeve the block and get the brian crower stroker kit. bumps ya up to a 2.6 L and you can choose whatever compression pistons you want, within a reasonable amount obiously lol. billet crank and choice of two different kinds of rods, etc. seems like a good kit for the money. if i had the money i would do it. but mainly just to be different. what everyone else has said would definitely be sufficient. i just like to do things a lil different then the norm. just throwin an idea out there. lol |
