Well...
I got my 18" wheels put back on with Kumho Ecsta ASX tires. I was driving after, and the wheel started shaking because of teh balance. So I go back and they said that my back wheels were bent.... Either they are idiots and didn't notice it the first time, or they got damage driving about 30 miles....OR! And this is my idea, is it possible that my sub box, custom floor, and amp bent the wheel? I think that its probably 99% impossible, so yeah....Suck!
I have replacement wheels on the way, and the good news is, my most scraped wheel was one of the damaged ones....

| What shop did you take it to to have the Kumhos put on? thats a crappy thing for them to do..but unfortunately you dont have a way to prove that the problem didnt exist before hand. I put the same tire on my 06 tC after the stock potenzas wore out. ...and what a kick a$$ tire for the money. Did you know that, that is the same tire that comes stock on brand new Corvettes? They ain't gonna put a tire on a 50 grand sports car that handles like crap. I feel your pain with the rims.... its like getting punched in both eyes and kicked in the a$$ and nothing you can do about it. |

NTB,
They also half assed my tpms sensors, and broke 3 of them, but they claimed the valve cap was stuck on, and yeah...so they said no!
They are absorbing the cost to switch out the wheels when the new ones get here... |

| I've heard that the TPMS sensors are extremely delicate. When I had a shop put my stock tires and transfer over the TPMS sensors to my BBS wheels, they outright told me that they'll do their best, but if they might break them in the process. I told them to take their time (2 days) and everything turned out perfect! That's why I don't trust places like Discount Tire and such. They do a half-assed rushed job just to cram in as many people as possible and usually, crappy work ensues. |

| For those that do not know.........most shops were trained in 06 how to remove tires from rims that have TPMS.......it is easy to do........so basically if they break them they are idiots.I went through the course as sell and it is super easy to do......our base model was the Corvette, one of the first to have them. |

| valve caps do get stuck if you use metal ones, and the sensors are delicate...if you over tighten them they'll crack. you'll get vibrations with crappy tires too |

| I used to have Kuhmo ASXs my only gripe with them was they didnt have the cornering traction I needed, other than that they handled my S/C pretty well. |

Dude, I couldnt agree more. The stock 17s on the tC's are a decent looking wheel. The only thing that chaps my a$$ is that the damn finish on them has always been so soft, that if you even look at the wheel the wrong way ....BOOM! a chip in the finish. |
