Okay, I'm new here...I bought the VERY first Scion Xa in the county when it FIRST came out....when I first saw it, I fell for it...I thought it was awesome.
Recently, I was with a woman that thought the care was really "cute", I asked her out and when I went to pick her up...she goes, "Oh, I get to ride in it, and see what it's like."
Later on, she says "This car is SOOoooo not me" She thought it did match my "perky and humorous. personality.
Granted she was an attractive woman..she stated, "I'm more of a sports car, convertable with the top down" kind of gal.
Just picture a hot chick (which she was) wearing sunglasses, her hair flowing in the wind...that's how she saw herself.
But I was wondering if she was making a "dig" at my choice in vehicles.
Like, they DO think the car is "adorable" and "cute"....but they are really thinking "does this guy have b*lls?"
Just an opinion I'm throwin out there...lol I'm a 36 year old single man that likes Scions. |

do you really need to ask that question?
certain women like certain cars. i dont think any would really love an xa but maybe a few might.
it should be your personality that attracts the girls anyways....or in my case your looks :P
i have asked alot of girls and they either like big raised trucks or fast sports cars seeing as no scion falls into either of those categories we are kinda out of luck. |

Translation: "I really don't know anything about cars, but I'm an attention whore and like people noticing me."
Admittedly, my tC gets more male attention than it does female attention. That being established, if you like the car, who the hell cares if some random woman doesn't like it? When you find a woman you like that goes "oh man, I love these cars!", won't it make her all the more attractive? :P |

| the first person who said my car was cute was a gay male driving a mazda miata with the top down. i wanted to trade in my car that moment. but alot of females (especially in the gym) think my car is 'cute'. they might not like to be seen in the front seats, but there's plenty of room in the back seats to 'get er done'. |

If a girl won't date you because of the car you drive then she is a gold digging whore.
I have to ask though. What does she have for a car thats makes her so high an mighty? |

I drive an xB. It's been called many things, but "cute" has never been one of them. I really like it though, it seems to be an ugly chameleon. When I show up to a country bar, people say nice truck. At the import scene, they say nice hatch, at classic shows it's nice wagon and with the biker crowd, they don't know what it is but like it just the same.
I'm not sure what was worse, her not liking the car or saying your personality was "perky and humorous". Welcome to the friend zone, time to move on. |

| All I have to say is my G/F loves my car, and a best friend of mine, she tried to make out with my car she loved it so much lol.... a little odd i know but it happened. |

Ok, from a woman's point of view, I can tell you this...
I don't think it's all Scion's that are a turn off. It's just the xA. Kinda shallow but it's just the way it is. Girls judge guys on little things like the car they drive, the shoes they wear, etc. The xA, not to offend anyone, just my opinion, looks kinda like a young geeky computer nerd's car. Well that is unless it's heavily modified. Get a more older, mature woman who doesn't care about that kinda stuff and it won't really matter. |

I totally agree.
It is not the cost of the car, but the style and xA screams "college student" to me. Personally I don't even think they are "Cute". It'd be like thinking a Ford Festiva is cute. Small does not equal cute. I work in West Hollywood and must say that if it is a "gay" car, I sure haven't seen many.
The Smart car fits that bill to a tee though. |

my gf hates the look of most of the Scion, besides the tC.
Her favorite cars are Rav4 and Honda Fit.
If she ditch you because u drive a xA, then she is totally not worth your time. |

xA's don't turn me on, but tC's and xD's do :rofl:
Maybe xA's make the guy look weaker since the car doesn't look very agressive or has a point. :x |

No offense to TC owners but if you compare a TC to the Celica that it basicly replaced its a SAD attempt. Celica > Tc
The person who said the xD turns them on the xD is the 2nd gen body of an xA
and GammaTNT said it. If a GIRL is worried about what your driving or even cares they are a waste of time.
I had a attractive girl make fun of my xA and say its small and ugly I asked her what she drove and she told me a 93 Civic and pointed over to a car that had more rust on it then paint. I laughed at her.
I won't lie I don't like stock xA's A lip kit or body kit with a nice set of shoes really make the car |
