| Hey guys, someone recently stole my injen exhaust and cut all the rubber hangers, so now im riding without a muffler(it sounds horrible too btw). Anyway, is this going to damage the car in anyway until I can afford a new one? |

| Shouldn't cause too many issues that I know of... except be moderately annoying for a while. |

this is ridiculous! we need to start making a list of all the
Sh!tty areas that people are having things stolen from so the heads up is givin not to move there.
I can see rims or whatever, maybe a spoiler being ripped off.... bubt someone cutting off an exhaust?!?!
Thats just downright insane |

That is news to me that you can drive without muffler/pipe etc.
It was my understanding that the motor is tuned to expect some back pressure caused by the pipe and driving without that backpressure will cause valves to burn/overheat and eventually fail.
While I have not seen that on a car, I have personally seen it on a motorcycle with straight pipes. I have also seen pistons burned by too little back pressure. Hi flow pipes do help the motor as stock pipes are very restrictive, but some back pressure is needed.
My personal opinion is that I would definitely recommend against it. You should be able to pick up a stock pipe fairly cheap on the forums or ebay as many have removed them and I would advise that you install one of those rather than ride without. |

In SoCal, people steal Catalytic converters! lol! And where I was from before I moved here, people steal sideview mirrors (and just the mirrors--popped with a screwdriver!).
Anyway, people stealing mufflers now, huh? w-t-h! (Sigh.) |

| They do. Palladium/Platinum and other lesser valuable ones...amount too small so you'd need to steal a number of them. Oh well. I can understand brand-name mufflers being stolen, but going all that trouble just to steal the cat? Some people are desperate. |
