Did my shopping around and figured which dealership would give the most for my 05 tC and after much negotiation and some bluffing involved i managed to get 10k for it and move on to a SW xB2.
It will come with two tone Black/White leather, 5axis Lip Kit and the spoiler.
The same day i get it i have another dealership where some friends of mine work install 8k HIDs and tint.
I just ordered an Injen CAI and Hotchkis springs off eBay.
Unfortunately the car will take about 5 days to get its upgrades, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!
Any suggestions on wheels? I'm looking for 18"s gold preferably!! |

^Nice pic
I have seen a few tC to xB switchers on here.. going in both directions..
The ones switching to the box, love it..
The ones switching to a tC, miss the box :)
Good Luck! |

I own an 05 tc, and while it was at the shop i had an 07? (the new xb) rental. It was very nice, I was impressed. I would def get one if i needed a nice 4 door low cost car. The after market is the same. It still wasn't as quick as the tc, it was also an auto. It didn't handle nearly as well too, but did have a lot of room for a small car.
Id say unless if you need something bigger, stick with the tc. My guess depending your area, you may get 11.5-13 selling your car. |

ok so i just got back from the dealer and they are giving me 9k for the tC, which leaves 8k and change on the new xB....i drove it.
it's as powerful as the tC (both stick) and i think i like it more, roomy and all.
i think im going to need some pics of sexy SW xB2s!!!!!!!! |

depends on what you need. me personally, i wouldn't get the xb2 simply because the drivetrain is identical to the tc, which is the same reason why i wouldn't get the new corolla or matrix xrs, i want something different, i'd feel like i'd be going back to square one after all i've put into my tc's performance.
the xb2/corolla/matrix xrs are nice, but you aren't making a very big leap in difference from the tC, if anything, going to the xb2 means your getting a slower, heavier, taller version of the tc. unless you frequently need the seats or cargo capacity, i'd stick with the tc. |

I haven't driven one, but I have sat in one at the dealership and checked it out. I actually liked it better than the tc because it was alot more roomier.
I don't think that I like it enough to actually go and trade in my tc for it though, but if I was looking for a roomy vehicle for my kids and all I would definitely consider the xb2. |

i actually like the way it looks and im kind of over the whole 2 door small car....i dont even fit comfortably anymore! The new Corbreaus still sit higher than the last seats.
It's time to flip the page! |

| whatever makes you happy, then go for it. if you want the xb2 then get it. i would try to sell your car privately first before i would trade it in though. 9k seems too low. check KBB trade in value and tell them you want nothing less. |

Okay...here goes: :nails:
FOUR DOOR CARS SUCK!!! Oh my goodness they suck so bad!!! It's like a 1957 Chevy....4-DOOR....or a 1966 Chevelle 4-DOOR...or worse....my station wagon!! It could have 1000 horsepower and school a corvette in a curve....but in the end?....it's a family truckster.
One word IMO: YUCK :P |

yeah that is very true. 4 doored cars have a completely different appeal. But im willing to put that to the test i liked the way the xB2 drove stock so i can only imagine it being better with the upgrades i have in store for it.
i dont care much for speed, all i want is good handling and individuality, something that i had with my tC no one else had a tC like mine that's why i love scions. YOU CAN MAKE THEM YOUR OWN!
at 44 yrs i can imagine the experiences that you've gathered thru numerous cars and at 22 i can comfortably say that i will be the proud owner of a white box lol :P :P
