I want to install my HID lights, but there is no information on how to remove my current bulbs. Does NE one have pictures and or information on how to take the old Halogen lamps out ?
Thank you ! |

I hope you have small hands! :)
Basically just put your hand behind the housing, find the socket for the current stock lights, twist (left or right don't remember) and you should be able to pull it out.
As far as a HID installation... no idea sorry. |

actually...theres more to it than that
theres a rubber grommet which protects the bulb from the back. there's a metal hangar thing that clips on top of it and holds the grommet over the bulb. you have to undo the hangar (by squeezing it together and pulling it away from the bulb if i remember correctly) then you pull back the grommet (slips over the wires so it stays connected) THEN, just as chels said, twist the bulb and slowly remove it. then unclip the wiring from the back, clip in new bulb, and reverse process. works for both sides. however, the drivers side is almost impossible with the stock airbox in the way. i removed my housings to make it alot simpler...that metal hangar sure is a pain in the ---....
to remove the housings or any other quesitons just PM me |

You may also have to loosen the screw and remove the clip. I wish I would have taken pictures when I had my headlight out. |

| when i installed the ultras, i checked the owners guide for directions. silly of me, i know. :eyebrow: it even had little pictures to show me that i should remove the electical connector, remove the rubber grommet seal, lift and unlatch the retainer bar, swing it out of the way, then slide the tri-point based bulb out of the socket. installation is reverse of removal. as mentioned, its a little tight behind the assembly. dont grab the wires as a handle on the electrcal connector either, as they look pretty fragile. |

| as usmc said you'll probably have to unscrew it, i forgot to mention that in my original post, thats what i did too haha. even though theres a diagram...theres still a lot of crap in that engine bay that make it hard to do -_-...if you struggle with it dont feel bad..i got cut up from the air box and decided to just take out the housing. |

| Doubt it... too expensive to replace the headlamps if something goes wrong after the retro. Would be nice though! Just.. I know from tCs its a lot of money to dump in to that project. |

| I'm getting parts together for a retrofit now... Using a bi-zenon projector from an Infiniti with clear lenses that give a nice blue color flicker. Has anyone other than boryslav retrofitted projectors into their xD? |

| im def going HID i think the way the lamp is set up projos arent that big of a deal, the way they are built if u look, the lamp has a passive cut off which looks good. my friend has an 05 camry and put some 12ks in and they do that looks really good and not super annoying bright like in the older chevy trucks |
