This happened locally to me and its quite sad :(. http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/wfaa080902_lj_newlyweds.3949c6b4.html
At first it was hard to tell if the car was an xb2, but on tv they showed the other side of the vehicle and I could tell by the slant in the axel back exhaust. Drunk drivers = thumbs down! :flame: |

Can kind of tell by the hub caps too. Definitely an xB.
A repeat offender, no less. They tried to stop him this time and he fled... causing this. |

yep i know the feeling, thanks to a drunk driver - i have titanium rod in my femur, a decent amount of brain damage, a fake hip, and i'll need a knee replacement by the time i'm 30.
oh and i'm out an xB as well.

Taking their license away doesnt stop them from driving unfortunately :(
I got hit by a drunk driver in my 05 xB and she had her license taken away because of previous dwi's but she just kept driving, no license, no insurance, it wasn't even her van. finally she is in jail, for a long time. |

Why do the drunk tube zusers walk away with the least damage? Talk about your blight on society. No license, registration, insurance auto or medical, now recuperating in a hospital. The best case cinario has us paying for his housing in a state penetentary for the next 60 years.
Drunk drivers should be terminated at the scene of the accident save a lot of people a lot of work just to box someone up for the next few years. |

I'd heard the reason for the survival of drunk drivers was that the alcohol tends to make their bodies more relaxed - a tensed body will suffer more damage than a relaxed body. I don't know if that's true in that extreme of a situation, but we teach our dancers that if they're dancing with an out of control dancer and they don't feel comfortable just walking away from them on a dance floor, to relax their bodies instead of tensing. They'll be able to actually follow a little better and they're less likely to suffer any muscle strain or pulled elbows or shoulders. Just a thought...
My heart goes out to the family of this couple and to the family of the drunk - nothing tests a family more than unexpected death and guilt. These type of accidents can rip families a part on both sides. |

i say if you want to drink and drive invest in a gaming consol and steering wheel controller. down what ever you drink of flavor and have fun. not to worry you can reload the game.
this guy should not have had the right to own a car at all and also have a licence at all. this guy should be released to the family of the people he killed as a slave. make him work for the rest of his life to repay his debt. even then he will never even come close to repaying it at all |
