What do you guys think would be the wisest use of my money first:
-Pioneer AVHP-4000DVD Head Unit
-eD Stealthbox with SQ-10 sub
I like both of those components, but if there are suggestions for other items in a similar price range let me know. I only have enough cash right now to get one or the other. Right now I'm using the stock '09 head unit. |

Hmm, I'm a bit surprised with the responses thus far, as I'd say get the sub first.
Both stock & aftermarket HUs play tunes, and both lack bass w/o a sub, so I'd rather get some bass first, then upgrade the HU. |

HU first, evereything will sound much better as an aftermarket headunit will put out a cleaner signal.
THEN sub |

| I say start where you want to. I don't have an aftermarket headunit. I threw some components in the doors first. I'm a rebel. |

| I ordered my HU tonight, but I decided to go with something a little cheaper, the Pioneer FH-8000BT. Looks like very similar audio capabilities, plus built in BT and iPod capabilities, didn't think I needed the DVD capabilities, so now I have some more cash on hand to do some other stuff (HIDs maybe?). Thanks for all the tips. |

| Got my FH-8000BT today--it looks sexy! Gonna install it tomorrow. One quick question: I got the radio harness adapter from Crutchfield. There is a blue wire coming from it labeled "Power antenna" but I see nothing that really matches it on the manufacturer side connector. What is the power anntena (blue) wire used for and what should it be connected to, if anything? |

| I reccomend headunit first, but it isnt mandatory. You can run a crazy setup off the stock headunit, and think it sounds decent. But will be extremely surprised once you throw a good headunit on, what the difference will be!! |
