just figured id post some random shiz ive been thinking about and wanted any input all my broskies on here had.
so here we go,
1) so with the simple laws of physics and from what ive gathered from talking with carbonxe... with the standard 17 pounds-1 hp gain from weight removal in the tc, would that imply that by just having say a 5'10, 160 pound person just get into a stock tc remove about 9.5 hp from the wheels? and having another friend around the same size put you behind 19 hp from the stock 160 just sitting in it?
2) does the automatic tc have any type of protection with the trans from throwin that biscuit into reverse while driving? I thought the clutch had some sort of catch protection but didnt know about the auto tranny.
3) all these kids driving around without cats on, does it really add that much hp or free up/restrict backpressure? or is it just for the sound? |

1) you still have the same amount of power. Ur just changing the power to weight. My friend Autocrosses, he said some guy had his daughter drive his car because she was lighter then he was. Apparently he was 100% serious too.
2) i'd assume so
3) Its hard to get any power NA from our cars. I don't see all that being worth the power you'll get out of it. |

1) In theory, yes. Drive around with 5 people in your car, you WILL feel a difference.
2) Yes, can't explain it since I hate transmissions. Someone else should.
3) Removing the second cat will give about 1-3 hp. Anyone who says "OMG I TOOK MY CAT OFF AND MY CAR IS SO MUCH FASTER HOLY poop!" is a certified ricer. |

| I have my full 3" PTuning exhaust on right now, I 'probably' gained about 4-6hp from it. I feel NO difference in performance. |

| My magnaflow doesn't sound ricey at all. In the low rpms it sounds like stock but once i get on it, it has a nice deep grumble to it. |

What year is your tC? 07-09 sound ricey with just about any exhaust after they warm up. 05-06 sound nice and deep, due to lower compression. |

| I noticed it when I swapped my TRD from my 05 to 08. It sounded so much different and I hated it. It sounds pretty muffled with the PTuning, but once it warms up, the rice comes back a little. The turbo will clear that up though, so I'm not worried. |
