so i'm looking at upgrading my amps and i'm thinking rockford this time around. i haven't used rockford in years but i recently took a ride with a friend who threw some in his car and i was very impressed.
my set up right now consists of 2 10" diamond audio d3 4 ohm subs (400 rms per sub) and 2 sets of cdt components (110 rms).
i can't decide whether to scoop up a single 5 channel to run everything or 2 seperate amps. my budget is $600. this is what i'm looking at right now.

| I think the first one is a great choice. |

| The Power 1000 is a awesome amp. I used that in my tC for a while and loved it. Great amp and you will not be unhappy with the output. It is a T8004 on the front and rear channels and a T10001BD in the sub channel. If you have any questions about it let me know. I have some knowledge in RF stuff. LOL |

| thanks nolimitz. i was actually hoping you would answer. would you say the 4 channel amp is underrated? 50 rms seems a little light for my cdt's. |

Nothing wrong with Rockford but a couple of those amps your looking at are physically large. If that's what you are after then that's ok, but have you taken a look at something else like maybe the Alpine PDX amplifiers? They have a 5 channel that looks like it would work well with your electrical system and physically small too.

size of the amp doesn't bother me. i've got a huge box anyways so my trunk is basically gone. one of the sacrifices that comes with loud bass i guess.
i've always thought alpine amps were too expensive for the power you get. i've never been really impressed with them. just the same, thanks for the input. |
