As a 2007 model the next generation Toyota Camry goes on sale early next year. The Camry will be larger in all dimensions than its predecessor and receive a major change in styling more along the lines of the new Avalon and the CCX Concept presented back in 2002. Continuing its onslaught of hybrid vehicles Toyota announced in May that the 2007 Camry will receive a V6 hybrid engine to compete with Honda's V6 Hybrid Accord launched last December. The longstanding 3.0 liter V6 engine will finally take a bow and make way for either a revised 3.3 liter V6 or the new 3.5 liter V6 currently found in the Avalon. Debut expected in Tokyo with sales starting in the New Year in the US. The Camry will be built in the Georgetown, Kentucky plant.

| This is a new Camry, from the ground up. It bears a strong resemblence to the older Camry, but looks a lot sleeker and meaner. I like it a lot. . . I think more than the new Avalon. |

Want to know something cool? If you see one rolling in the states, you can thank my wife for the underbody being welded and fitted to the car. She is the lead Engineer on the Camry underbody out at TMMK (Kentucky plant). I get to hear all the little goodies and secrets of this car before it's released.
I just fine it wild that almost every camry that will be built will fit right and be designed right because my wife litterally setup the assembly line to build the car. She was up near cincinatti all this week finalizing a jig for a dimentional build, a prototype shipped from there to the Kentucky plant this morning.
Pretty cool stuff. From what I hear it is going to be awesome. Not as exciting design wise as other cars, but it will be built well and be a pretty impressive car. |

| Just a thought. I don't know all of Toyota's secrets, but I think the "H" isn't a jab at Honda or Hyundai, rather its the Hybrid Camry. The other test car in the photo has no "H" meaning its the gas-only version. They also have different alloy wheels which usually signifys a different trim level or engine size with the Camry models. |

| I saw these guys come through Dallas with 3 of the cars as they were refueling off I-35 and Oak Lawn. One of the guys won't tell me what toyota model it was but I had the feeling it's the Camry. Good find on the pics though. |
